I have not been posting on here nearly as much as I want to. I plan on changing that over the next few months. I have some changes happening in my life, and I’m trying to sort out when and how I can fit in blogging around all of that.

For most of this year I have been looking to get a new job. I have been working in childcare for about five and a half years now, and I decided that I was ready to try something else.

So after months of working on this, I have finally got myself an admin job, with term time hours. This means that I’ll have about twelve weeks off work throughout the year in which I can sort myself out. I’m really hoping that I can use a lot of that time to catch up on reading, and get a better focus on this blog.

Also, with the new job there is a short commute. It is literally about fifteen to twenty minutes in each direction, but I’m hoping that it will help to build up my reading quantity, as it will get me reading just a bit for at least five days each week. That kind of consistency will build up over time, and I ought to be getting through a couple more books each month.

I’m really excited about this big life change. It’s a little nerve-wracking, as I am beginning a new career completely from fresh. But I think it will be an awesome learning opportunity, and will help me to develop a career that I can enjoy.

I just wanted to drop this short post in here, and to say that I do have the intention of building up a more regular posting routine, and I look forward to sharing more book talk with you soon.
