Getting Back into Writing.

Sorry that I haven’t blogged in a while. I’ve been quite busy in my personal life, and this has gone on the back-burner a bit. I’m still busy, but I’m going to do my best to make more time for blogging, because I really enjoy it.. Recently I’ve been thinking about getting back into writing…

Sorry that I haven’t blogged in a while. I’ve been quite busy in my personal life, and this has gone on the back-burner a bit. I’m still busy, but I’m going to do my best to make more time for blogging, because I really enjoy it..

Recently I’ve been thinking about getting back into writing fiction. A couple of years ago I started a story for NaNoWriMo. I didn’t get very far with it, but it’s coming back to my mind to try to work on it.

I struggle with writing sometimes. I can’t always get into the heads of my characters, and the plot never seems to work out for me. It can be kind of stressful, which I think is why I’ve stopped doing it for so long.

When I was in my late teens / early twenties I was writing all the time. I guess it wasn’t very good. Young people tend to lack the experience for writing, as well as life experience to base the writing on. But I enjoyed it as a hobby, and that’s the main thing. You can’t improve at anything if you don’t work on it.

In any case, I’d like to get some ideas of where to begin with getting back into writing. Should I just try writing a small wordcount every day? Should I revise the planning of the story and see where that takes me? I’m not sure. And I don’t really have anyone in real life who I can talk to about my writing.

I might spend some time this weekend looking back through my planning, and getting to know the story again. Then, over the next few weeks I can think about how I want to approach it. Again, I’ve got stuff going on in my personal life, and I don’t have a tonne of time to do hobbies right now, but I’d still like to make a bit of time for them.

Have any of you been writing recently? What do you like writing about, and what is your process? Let me know in the comments!

Until next time,
Love, Bobbi. Xx.
