December is a fairly busy month for me, it’s my birthday month, Christmas is coming, I’ve got a couple of outings happening, plus I work full time.

But I still want to do quite a bit of reading this month.

My main reading project for the month is to read the entirety of Dragonball. I’m not a huge fan of manga, I have read a few chapters or volumes of things here and there, but not a whole series before. My brother loves this series, and has been looking forward to having me read it this year.

We’ve decided that three chapters a day is a good amount to aim for, and on the first day I have managed to read the necessary pages.

I’ve enjoyed what I’ve read, but it’s very weird. I think I’m going to enjoy reading it though.

As I mentioned in my November Summary, I also intend to finish the second part of Words of Radiance this month. I’ve been enjoying this story, although I’ve found it quite slow in places. I really enjoy high fantasy stories, and Brandon Sanderson is incredible at building really detailed worlds. The first book in the series, Way of Kings, ended with a bang, and I’m really hoping this one does too.

I’m also going to finish the last 80 or so pages of Memoirs of a Geisha. I started this book in February, and just kind of gave up on finishing it. I was finding it kind of boring, but I feel that I should finish it because there’s so little left. I enjoyed bits of the story, but the ending is going so slowly. It’s definitely not one of my favourites of the year if I’m honest.

I don’t expect to read much more than that, but if I do, then it would be really cool. I want to get some plans together for my 2024 reading, but I’m not entirely sure what I want to do about it yet.
